How to Bend Aluminum Alloy Square Tubes?


There are several methods for bending aluminum alloy square tubes:

 

1. Manual bending method

Firstly, mark the areas that need to be bent with lines to facilitate control of force and angle. Use an appropriately sized wrench or torque wrench to grasp the position that needs to be bent and apply appropriate force. Slowly bend, being careful that excessive force may cause deformation of the aluminum alloy square tube. After each bending, it is necessary to check and fine tune until the expected effect is achieved.

 

2. Mechanical bending method

Use a specially designed aluminum alloy square tube bending machine and corresponding molds. Before bending, it is necessary to systematically measure the dimensions of the areas that need to be bent and select the appropriate bending mold. Adjust the angle of the machine and start the bending operation. It should be noted that if the bending angle is too large, it may cause deformation or damage to the aluminum alloy square tube. After completing the bending, it is necessary to check whether the outer surface of the pipe is flat and free of cracks.

 

3. Cold bending method

Suitable for small angle bending of aluminum alloy flat tubes, it can be operated manually or mechanically. During the cold bending process, attention should be paid to controlling the bending angle and radius to avoid excessive deformation and stress concentration.

 

4. Hot bending method

Suitable for large angle bending of aluminum alloy flat tubes, which are softened by heating and then bent. During the hot bending process, it is necessary to control the heating temperature and time to avoid material damage caused by excessive heating.

 

5. Hydraulic bending method

Suitable for bending aluminum alloy flat tubes with complex shapes, using hydraulic equipment to apply force to bend them. In the process of hydraulic bending, it is necessary to control the magnitude and direction of the applied force to avoid excessive force causing material fracture.
